The Toll Booth Song is sung by the members of the band on all road trips whenever the bus passes through a toll booth. A line is added to the song during the first road trip of the Spring semester each year to commemorate that year's [[conductor]]. The song's origins are unknown by the current members of the band, though it would seem likely that it started sometime in the early 1990's as the list of [[Conductor|conductors]] in the song is roughly that long.

Daytrip to [[Rochester Institute of Technology|RIT]] (Won 8-3). This was the first win of the season. The band arrived at the campus early and met up with the RIT band for dinner before the game. Alum [[Kyle Padden]] joined the RPI band for the blowout. Just before the first period break, RPI scored a goal as the band was joining the RIT band for a superband. [[James Milne]] conducted the fight song anyway, despite being in enemy territory.

Daytrip to [[Union College|Union]] for the first rivalry game of the semester. The team lost 4-2.

====January 12, 2018: Women's Hockey @ Clarkson====
Overnight trip to [[Clarkson University|Clarkson]] for women's hockey. The team lost 2-3. Due to a blizzard in Potsdam, the trip was cut short before the women played at SLU on Saturday, but the band was able to make it back to Troy just in time to surprise the Clarkson Pep Band for the men's game at the Houston Field House. Due to this trip, the band has become really good friends with the Clarkson band. Tragically, the men's team lost to Clarkson that night 0-3.

Black Friday started during the [[2003-2004]] season to honor the passing of women's hockey coach Bill Cahill and equipment manager Tom Cavosie. This game now takes place on the first home [[ECAC Hockey]] game of the season. Free admission is given to all students wearing black, and members of the band are given [[Black Friday T-shirts|black t-shirts]] which they wear over their regular [[Rugby Shirts|rugby shirts]]. The team also wears special black jerseys for the game which are raffled off for charity afterwards. In [[2010-2011|2010]], Black Friday was replaced with Black Saturday due to the home-and-home weekend with [[Union College|Union]] being the first [[ECAC Hockey|ECAC]] weekend involving a home game. RPI is 9-2-2 all-time in Black Friday games.

Every year for Black Friday the band is given a set of Black Friday t-shirts by the Athletic Department. It has been tradition since the [[2003-2004|first Black Friday]] to wear the t-shirts over the band's usual [[Rugby Shirts|rugby shirts]] to match the crowd which is also encouraged to wear black for the game. Starting in the 2014-2015 season, the band stopped recieving T-Shirts.
