Freakout strippers

Every year at the [[Big Red Freakout!]], the band plays [[084 - The Stripper|The Stripper]], while one or more strippers (usually, but not always band members) (usually, but not always female) strip at the front of the stage. In 2011, the strippers moved with the band to the stands when the stage was removed.

Though it's located a short distance away from downtown Providence, the rooms were nice and a free continental breakfast was provided. Some members of the band pointed out that if people were willing to go three to a room, the band could have stayed at more expensive hotels in downtown Providence.

If the band has a large amount of time to kill in Providence before the game, the Providence Place Mall is a good place to go. If the band has less time before the game, there are a number of stores and restaurants just a few blocks from the rink on Thayer Street.

"Shake a Tail Feather" was written by Verlie Rice, Otha Hayes, and Andre Williams. It was originally recorded by The Five Du-Tones in 1963 and famously covered by Ray Charles in the 1980 movie ''The Blues Brothers''. This version of the song was arranged by Tom Wallace.

=Instrumentation requirements=
A strong trombone section is needed to carry the melody in the beginning. There should be at least one sousa/bari sax to keep the song moving in the beginning (where the trombones have the melody), as the music is pretty exposed in this part. Cowbell also really should be covered.

=Roadmap=
A 16 bar solo section is mercifully cut from the original sheet music, as well as an extended ending (featuring a "soul scream" in the percussion section). The original music was transcribed and edited to remove these parts by [[Chris Behrens]] in [[2009-2010|2009]] and is now played as written.

Unless the band reads the song differently than written, the roadmap is pretty straightforward. There are two repeats (both with 1st/2nd endings), and a DS back to measure 5, going to the coda after measure 24.
