"Summon the Heroes" was written by John Williams for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. This version of the song is arranged by Paul Lavender with percussion by Barry Reese.

=Instrumentation requirements=
"Summon the Heroes" is among the most challenging (if not '''the''' most) in the band's library, as it is very faithful to the original arrangement. As such, it would need to be rehearsed extensively before it was ready for a performance of any kind. A strong trumpet soloist is necessary, as well as a strong trumpet section in general since much of the song is in the style of a fanfare. In addition, there are parts for xylophone, sleigh bells, and an optional timpani part that is not included in the score (and therefore probably doesn't exist in the library).

This song was purchased by [[Charlie Scaringello]] during his conductorship in the [[2003-2004]] season.
