About this cheer
This is an arrangement of "Apache (Jump On It)" by the Sugarhill Gang. It was arranged in 2007 by Chris Behrens '07.
Instrumentation requirements
There is an 4 measure quint/tri tom solo to start it off, and these are the most important percussion parts for this cheer. This cheer can be played with most instrumentations, but will sounds best (as will most songs) with a lot of low end.
History
This cheer was added to the cheer sheets in January 2007, when the cheer sheets were rewitten to add songs and make the print more legible. It has quickly become a crowd favorite, with many in the crowd dancing each time it is played. The dance can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQem5EplADo
