Men's hockey one night stand to [[Union College|Union]] (Win 5-3). Union joined the [[ECAC Hockey|ECAC]] this year. A fight between a drunk fan and the band broke out. Two band members were kicked out of the game, along with the drunk fan. The infamous oranges were also seen for the first time.

The game started after 9:00 and didn't end until after midnight, double overtime. [[Handjive]] is shown on NESN. The earlier semifinal that night was also 2 OT, so RPI/SLU game broadcast ended prematurely as NESN shuts off at midnight.
