The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers have been members of the WCHA since its formation in the 1951-1952 season.

Recent Trips

While there have been no formal trips by the band to the University of Minnesota, several members (and alumni) attended the men's hockey teams's games in the 2007 IceBreaker Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in near by St. Paul, Minnesota, one of which was against the Golden Gophers.
