At ten minutes left in the second period of hockey games, some members of the band will yell, Halftime!
This is followed by most of the rest of the band yelling, stupid cheer!, or possibly stupid people! if they particularly don't enjoy the cheer.
The exact origins of this cheer have been lost over the years, but it has continued to be done by a few people every year much to the chagrin of many in the band.
