The Bickford is an unofficial position in the band which only has one official requirement - that the person filling the position has been with the band for an extended period of time. The purpose of this position is hard to nail down unless you describe the position by the duties performed by the Bickford.
Duties
The Bickford traditionally performs (but is by no means limited to) the following duties:
- Slamming hard hats to the ground in fits of anger
- High-fiving the conductor after RPI goals
- Ordering root beer (no ice) at Friendly's; alternately ordering a strawberry Fribble
- Growing an orange goatee
- Assuming the role of bitter ex-manager
- Sporting a well-timed Canadian accent
- Generally being awesome
