Lyrics

To the tune of the Marines' hymn:

From the glorious heights of Prospect Park
To the mud flats of Cohoes
We will study hard, get drunk weekends
And the rest Lord only knows
We will drink to Troy’s fine maidens
We will drink to Troy’s fine beer (FINE BEER!)
And without a doubt someone will shout
“Let us drink to Rensselaer!”

After four or five long years have past
We'll have finally cribbed our way.
We will all get drunk down at the Ruck
Just to celebrate the day.
And when Jackson hands the sheepskins out
We will all let out a cheer (here here!).
For we’re going out of college
And HOORAY for Rensselaer.

Use

Much like Let's give a cheer, this song is sung by members of the band after the games while packing up our instruments.

Alternate Lyrics

The lyrics to this song have been updated several times over the course time to reflect changes in the President of the Institute and in what bars there are in Troy.
Other notable alterations are the replacement of "here here!" in the second stanza with "FINE BEER!" and the occasional replacement of "HOORAY for" with "TO HELL with" in the last line.
