About the song
Written by Dan Hartman
Arranged by Joel Leach
Originally recorded by The Edgar Winter Group
Instrumentation requirements
Trumpets frequently carry the melody by themselves, but a strong low brass section is needed to balance things out since it's melody and bass for the majority of the song. Snare, cymbals, and bass drum are all that is needed for percussion to get the point across on that front.
Roadmap
At the end of the song there is a D.S. symbol instead of "D.S. al coda". It goes back to section B.
History
This song was added to the active set in 2006, but has yet to be played outside of a rehearsal because of the poor arrangement and difficult key of the song.
