Curious, though, what has made it to the AKA list. There was a movement for some time to actually make it Rensselaer University. I think it was in the transition time into Dr. Jackson's tenure. It was eventually abandoned (or so the story goes). Of course, attempting this would involve massive renovations to Sage, West, and Carnegie; approx. 3 new buildings; a massive staffing surge coupled with departmental and infrastructure overhauls; and magically usurping the long-standing perception that the School of H&SS is pretty much just for electives, minors, second majors, EMAC, EArts, STSS, and random graduate students. Oh, and they'd need to build a state-of-the-art performance center ... hey wait a minute, aren't they in the middle of... TrekMuse 17:15, November 13, 2007 (EST)
