Manager Traditions

These are the band traditions involving the managers.

Items passed from manager to manager

There are several items in the band that are passed down from one season's managers to the next. These items include:

• The Blackout Rugbies
• The Cymbal of Managerial Power
• The Manager Jacket
• The Monopoly Board
• The Cube of Old Paperwork

Plausible deniability

The managers of the band maintain a plausible excuse that they don't know that any alcoholic beverages have come on any of the road trips.

Managers in the snow

It is traditional that on at least one road trip, both of the managers of the band are thrown into the snow.

Announcements

During rehearsals, when the managers go up to the front of the room to make the announcements for the week (e.g. details for the upcoming games and road trips), the rest of the band chants:

Announcements, announcements, annouuuuuuuncements!

We sold our cow (MOO!), we sold our cow (MOO!),
We have no need, for your bull now.

Have you ever heard a windbag, a windbag, a windbag?
Have you ever heard a windbag, well you'll hear one now.

When you're up you're up, and when you're down you're down,
And when you're only halfway up, you're neither up or down.

Announcements, announcements, annouuuuuuuncements!

During the last verse some members of the band stand up, sit down, and stand halfway up when indicated. Also in the first verse, most of the band yells "BULL!" while the managers usually get a small plush cow thrown at them.
