The Cornell Pep Band is the pep band of the Cornell Big Red, one of the other teams in ECAC Hockey.
The Cornell band is known for both its quality of playing (probably stemming from actually having music majors) and its intensity at games (along with all other Cornell fans). They occasionally come across as cocky and better-than-you, but this is an Ivy league school after all.
Occassionally, especially when Cornell visits Houston Field House (because of the stage), the two bands will combine during one of the intermissions to create "The Bigger Red Band," a reference to Cornell's moniker "The Big Red Band."
