I'm blind, I'm deaf, I wanna be a ref.
I'm blind, I'm deaf, I wanna be a ref.

A rope, a tree, hang the referee.
A rope, a tree, hang the referee.

The ref, the ref, the ref is out to lunch.
Eat me ref! Eat me ref! Munch, munch, munch!

This cheer (much like Who's Your Father) is used to express one's disatisfaction with the job done by the referee during the game.

Members of the band have been known to humorously (and sometimes purposely) mess up the cheer by mixing the start of one line with the end of the other.

A rope, a tree, I wanna be a ref.
or less frequently,
I'm blind, I'm deaf, hang the referee.
