Typically this was played by at least a Trumpet, Mellophone, and a Tenor Sax following Billberger Salute.
Following most of the individual parts being lost, Prince Ali was added to the cheer sheets in 2016. The band resisted change and frequently vetoed Prince Ali if it was called on its own.
In 2023, as part of a long-awaited cheer sheet update, Prince Ali was reborn as 'Prince John C' in honor of the arranger John Caezza.
