Person with the wavy hands at the front of the band. Until the beginning of the [[1983-1984|1983 season]], the position of conductor didn't exist.  At first, the conductor was present to keep the band on the same beat (no pun intended). Today, the conductor is a spokesperson of the band, working with the [[Manager|managers]] to coordinate band activities.  For a list of things that are traditionally done by/to the conductor, see [[Conductor Traditions]].
