The Colgate Raider Pep Band Logo

The Colgate Raider Pep Band is the pep band of the Colgate Raiders, one of the other teams in ECAC Hockey. They play at their home football, basketball, hockey, and lacrosse games, though they only visit RPI for hockey games.

The Colgate and RPI bands get along quite well, with the Colgate band visiting Troy most years and staying overnight with the RPI band.

    • Again, the Colgate asked for help and their call was answered yielding a band of more RPI students than Colgate. Colgate lost the first night 4-1, but rebounded and took the second night 4-2. Though there was no Super Band on Sunday, Colgate upended Union 4-3 in OT. The members of Colgate's band were housed by a manager.

    • The RPI band was asked by the Colgate band to help them out at the ECAC Championship Weekend at the Times Union Center, as it coincided with their spring break. We obliged, and the combined band was roughly a 50/50 split of RPI and Colgate band members. Colgate ended up losing both games, the first to Princeton 0-3 and the second to Cornell 2-4. The night after the first game, Mike Joseph held a combined party in his apartment, and members of the RPI band put up the Colgate band for the night.
  • February 9, 2007: Won 3-2(OT).
    • The two bands combined during one of the period breaks to play Children of Sanchez together, both doing Colgate's jumping in the first four measures of the song. Early the next season, the RPI band began doing a modified version of this jumping, which still occurs today. After the game the bands partied together at Bickford's apartment, where there were nearly 50 people at one point. Colgate's band stayed overnight in the Union, as there wasn't enough space to put them up in any of the then-current member's apartments or dorms.
  • January 14, 2005: Lost 2-4.
  • January 17, 2003: Lost 0-3.
